The Opportunity

runZero is looking for a Manager of Mid-Market Sales to join our team! As a part of our Go-To-Market leadership, you will own our Mid-Market sales team consisting of new business Account Executives and Account Managers that work with our existing customers.  You will be instrumental in recruiting and coaching the Mid-Market sales team while leading them to achievement of your sales targets.

This role will report to our Chief Revenue Officer but will regularly collaborate with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Channel, Marketing and other internal teams.  runZero is a remote company, so we’re open to where this leader resides within the United States. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Manage, hire, and lead a high-performing team of Mid-Market Account Executives and Account Managers to meet and exceed goals
  • Actively participate in sales calls and customer relationships and generally provide any other assistance your team needs to close deals
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members to evaluate progress and discuss professional development
  • Foster a positive culture of collaboration, learning, and trust with direct reports and the entire sales department
  • Provide AEs with a coaching cadence of time management, objection handling, prospecting tactics, discovery and active listening skills
  • Mentor new AEs with training, including product knowledge, buyer personas, competition, tools training and value selling
  • Work collaboratively with partner departments and fellow GTM Leaders to ensure we continue to develop a best-in-class GTM approach
  • Leverage data in every part of the coaching and decision-making process to help identify areas for growth and professional development
  • Report on sales metrics and forecast to the CRO and other senior management

Skills You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS (preferably in the security industry) with 3+ years of experience in a team lead or management role
  • Previous startup experience
  • MEDDPICC or Command of the Message training and background  are a PLUS
  • Previous cybersecurity background a plus
  • A collaborative mentor who instills a learning environment and demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, possess enthusiasm for technology, and articulate clearly to all levels of technical aptitude
  • Proven capabilities in account development and awareness of the buyer journey, sales process, and the stakeholders involved 
  • An effective listener, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and empathetic leader who coaches teammates through wins and losses

Salary Range

runZero values transparency in the hiring process. According to our market data, we’re expecting this role to come in around $240k - $260k OTE, plus stock options. We know that the talent market is always in flux, so please let us know if you believe we have advertised this role in the wrong salary band.
