Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Medline is seeking a seasoned Manager – Identity and Access Management (IAM) to lead a team of professionals in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient identity and access management solutions. This role within the security organization is responsible for both engineering projects and operational execution across IAM domain.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in privileged access management (PAM), identity governance administration, federated authentication and user lifecycle management. This role demands strong people management capabilities, strategic planning, and hands-on leadership in hybrid environments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor a team of 10-12 IAM (Identity and Access Management) specialist, engineers and analysts.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Engineering & Operations Ownership
• Oversee engineering and operational tasks across IAM, ensuring service reliability, scalability, and compliance.
• Manage 24x7x365 on-call support for critical IAM services.
Technical Expertise
• Serve as SME and escalation point for critical issues
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight
Security & Compliance
• Ensure IAM implementations align with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Drive adherence to compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
Project & Program Management
• Lead IAM initiatives from planning through execution, including resource allocation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Process Optimization & Automation
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools to improve operational efficiency.
Budgeting & Vendor Management
• Own budgeting and financial planning for IAM programs, including vendor selection and contract management.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Certifications
• Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Work Experience
• 10+ years of experience in IAM, including leadership roles
• 4+ years managing technical teams and operational support in hybrid environments
• Proven experience with PAM, Identity Management, User lifecycle management etc.
 

Skills & Abilities
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities
• Deep understanding of IAM principles and technologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with budget planning and vendor negotiations
• Familiarity with Zero Trust models and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Proficiency in automation and scripting for IAM workflows

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • 4+ years managing technical teams and operational support in hybrid environments
