The Database Monitoring team at Datadog is building an industry-revolutionizing product to automatically pinpoint our customers’ database problems. As an Engineering Manager for the Database Monitoring team, you will actively drive team direction and culture to tackle ambitious initiatives aimed to accelerate growth. You will lead the teams responsible for the backend and Agent development in Go and Python.

What You’ll Do:
- Launch a greenfield product for database analytics powered by logs, traces, and metrics
- Launch features to detect problems and take automated actions (e.g. terminate a query)
- Launch support for monitoring MongoDB query performance
- Enable fast growth with 1-click installation of the DBM Agent
Who You Are:
- Have experience managing a team of 4+ engineers
- Have experience managing Senior and Staff engineers
- Have hands-on database experience as an IC engineer working with relational or non-relational database technologies
- Have a product-oriented mindset and are driven by delivering great products that delight users
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
