Hapag-Lloyd QSC Mauritius is looking to recruit a Human Resource and Administration Manager for a fixed term period of 1 year for a maternity replacement.
Responsibility:
Design, develop and implement HR policies & procedures in line with the Regional/Global guidelines.
Ensure that the right level of staff is available and administer all staff issues accordingly.
Support all employees in Mauritius and ensure the smooth running of HR processes.
ResponsibilitiesMain tasks:
Human Resources:
· Forecast, plan and lead the core HR initiatives
· Supervise and assist in the payroll processing in line with all labour/taxation laws and update the management if any revision
· Prepare and manage budget for HR related expenses and report the same to the Region
· Manpower planning and execution of entire gamut of the recruitment process
· Talent Attraction, Engagement, Development & Retention
· Supervise and assist in timely completion of Hiring, Confirmation & Exit formalities
· Plan and lead the Performance Management System, ensuring performance reviews are conducted
· Ensure compliance with statutory laws. Supervise preparation and submission of statutory reports required by law
· Monitor systems, create and send various reports to the Regional HR and Management
· Keep appraised of labour laws and regulations, ensure compliance and advise the Management accordingly
· Guide HR team to resolve all queries for all the HR related issues
· Ensure Talent Development programs and planned trainings are conducted
· Ensure execution of quarterly Rewards & Recognition Program
· Provide support and administer all aspects of International Human Resources, including the supervision of expatriate, corporate relocation programs and monitoring of occupation permits
· Liaison with Regional HR, communicate and execute various Human Resource procedures and projects.
Administration:
· Responsible for travel management involving gathering flight ticket quotes and analysing the most cost-effective options to be proposed to the management
· Remaining available for any employee flight-related urgencies
· Monitor and support processing of visa applications in line with different country requirements
· Keep track of international travel expenses and validity of open air tickets
· Oversee daily staff transport and liaison with the company vendor
· Monitor and ensure guests’ accommodation, transport and logistics
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the office
· Responsible for Office facilities by managing the Facilities and Admin coordinator (identifying needs for repairs, renovations or interventions from vendors e.g. a/c servicing, pest control, cleaning, RCD testing)
· Work closely with accounting departments to process invoices and keep track of expenses in comparison with the budget.
· Coordinate, direct, and fulfill special projects or events such as team buildings or trainings
· Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Our Shift timings are from 12.00 p.m. to 21.00 p.m.
QualificationsRequirements and Qualifications:
Industry Knowledge –
· 8 – 10 years of industry experience
· Expert/sound knowledge of local employment and taxation laws
· Expert understanding of HR Management required.
· Advanced knowledge of travel management required
Business Systems/IT –
· Working Knowledge and system Support Optimization
· Ability to promptly process data
· Experience in using any payroll software and tools
· Good Knowledge of user application systems (MS Office, Word, Excel, SAP).
