  Role Overview  

The Taiwan E-commerce Business Team is responsible for building customer-facing Coupang products. We manage over 10 key applications and process millions of customer transactions daily. From the moment a customer opens the Coupang homepage to the completion of their order, we are responsible for every part of this journey, delivering an extraordinary shopping experience.

  Responsibilities:
• Build and manage a global, highly efficient, and professional front-end engineering team in Taiwan.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and core engineers to implement key strategic projects and support business operations in Taiwan.
• Define the upgrade vision for front-end engineering services, continuously plan roadmaps, and build an efficient, scalable front-end engineering organization.
• Drive high-quality service architecture and solution design.
• Break down complex problems into simple, clear, and actionable solutions.
• Deeply troubleshoot and resolve critical system failures.
• Monitor and master core metrics in the front-end product domain, continuously driving metric optimization through product innovation.
• Collaborate with other Coupang technical teams to enhance service scalability and identify innovation opportunities.

Basic Qualifications  

• 3+ years of senior management experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Java/Mobile/Web environments designing, developing, and deploying highly available and scalable services.
• At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams: capable of handling massive data transactions and building large-scale user-facing web applications.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale core projects.
• Passionate about creating the ultimate user experience on the web.
• Possess strategic thinking skills, excel at deep research, and continuously drive improvements in engineering quality.
• Able to independently drive projects in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus despite frequent requirement changes.
• Capable of coordinating multiple priorities and leading the delivery of large-scale services for complex business needs in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
