Location: Rosemont, IL

Salary: $101,000 - $120,000

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Position Summary: 

The Manager, FP&A – Accessories plays a central and highly accountable role in planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics processes for RAA's Accessories Division. This role partners closely with the Director, FP&A to execute the planning and forecasting cadence, deliver actionable insights, and ensure high-quality financial support for strategic and operational decision-making across Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, and Operations. This role owns the day-to-day execution of forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis, while partnering with the Director, FP&A Accessories, on overall planning direction and cadence.

The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A and business partnership expertise, experience supporting a fast-paced consumer products or wholesale environment. This role leads and develops a financial analyst supporting the Accessories Division. 

RAA is actively integrating AI and automation into its FP&A processes, and this role is expected to identify and implement practical AI- and automation-driven improvements across forecasting, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
    • Own the day-to-day execution of the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning processes in partnership with the Director, FP&A Accessories. 
    • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses. 
    • Partner with cross-functional departments to challenge assumptions, refine inputs, and ensure forecasts reflect current business conditions. 
    • Track forecast accuracy and analyze drivers (units, ASPs, mix, markdowns, freight, FX, etc.) 
  • Performance Reporting & Analytics
    • Own the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting packages, including clear analysis of performance vs. budget/forecast, key drivers, risks, and recommended actions. 
    • Develop dashboards and recurring reports for sales, margin, and expense performance. 
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation with accounting.
  • Margin & Profitability Analytics
    • Own gross margin analysis by product category, customer, channel, and program. 
    • Support margin bridge analysis (volume, mix, cost, freight, FX, pricing). 
    • Identify margin improvement opportunities and quantify impact.
  • Business & Decision Support
    • Lead financial evaluations for new programs, pricing actions, and business opportunities, providing clear recommendations and tradeoff analysis. 
    • Prepare business cases and ROI analyses for leadership review. 
    • Serve as a trusted financial partner to cross-functional stakeholders on day‑to‑day decisions. 
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement
    • Lead, coach, and develop analysts while maintaining a high standard for analytical rigor and business relevance. 
    • Drive improvements in forecasting tools, reporting automation, and process documentation. 
    • Identify and implement practical AI and automation-enabled improvements to forecasting, reporting, and insight generation, partnering with leadership where needed 
  • Key Performance Indicators
    • Sales and gross margin forecast accuracy 
    • Quality and clarity of performance insights delivered to leadership 
    • Timeliness and effectiveness of reporting and forecast execution 

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 
    • 6–8 years of progressive Finance experience, including FP&A. 
    • Strong understanding of P&L drivers and core accounting principles. 
    • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. 
    • Experience with ERP and reporting tools (Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau). 
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into business insights. 
    • Hands-on experience applying AI or automation tools to financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting workflows.
  •  Preferred:
    • MBA or CPA a plus. 
    • Experience in apparel, accessories, or wholesale environments. 
    • Prior experience managing or leading analysts. 
    • Experience supporting customer, channel or product profitability analysis.
