We are seeking a driven and hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to join our global Finance Shared Services organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient, accurate, and well-controlled execution of Accounts Payable processes, including invoice-to-payment, employee expenses (Concur), and vendor master data management.
The position offers the opportunity to lead operations, drive process improvements, and support transformation initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, IT, and business teams.
- Manage assigned Accounts Payable processes across invoice processing, payments, employee expenses (Concur), and vendor master data within a shared service framework
- Drive standardization, harmonization, and continuous improvement across AP processes within assigned scope
- Support implementation and execution of AP policies, controls, and governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with finance standards, SOX compliance, and audit requirements
- Support and drive process improvement and automation initiatives (e.g., RPA, OCR, AI, SAP enhancements), partnering with IT and cross-functional teams
- Oversee employee expense (Concur) processes, ensuring timely reimbursement, policy compliance, and resolution of issues and exceptions
- Manage Vendor Master Data (VMD), including vendor bank information maintenance, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and fraud risk mitigation
- Define and monitor key operational metrics, SLAs, and performance indicators; identify gaps and drive data-driven improvements
- Act as escalation point for operational issues (e.g., invoice exceptions, payment delays, data issues), ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, Tax, IT, and business stakeholders to support effective end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process execution
- Support system implementations, process changes, and organizational initiatives, ensuring operational readiness and smooth transition
- Lead and develop team members, fostering accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement culture
Key Skills & Proficiencies
- Strong working knowledge of end-to-end AP / P2P processes, including invoice processing, payments, Concur (T&E), and vendor master data
- Experience in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies in a shared services or multinational environment
- Good understanding of SOX compliance, financial controls, and risk management within AP processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration across Finance, Procurement, IT, and business teams
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and exposure to automation or digital tools within Finance operations
- Strong communication and coordination skills to support cross-functional and cross-regional alignment
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 8-12 years of finance experience, including:
- Experience in AP / P2P operations (invoice-to-payment, Concur, vendor master data)
- Experience in shared services or regional/global operations environment
- Experience in process improvement, system enhancement, or automation initiatives
- Experience in managing teams or leading operational workstreams
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus
