The Manager of Ecosystem Operations is pivotal in building a scalable global partner ecosystem that acts as a force multiplier across the business. This highly impactful role is centered on architecting automation at scale, advancing the integration of mission-critical systems, and leveraging data-driven insights to enable operational excellence, accelerate growth, and enhance organizational efficiency. By aligning technical solutions with business priorities, this role ensures the ecosystem operates as a cornerstone of GitLab’s broader success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of SMEs to build and optimize critical processes, while owning the technology stack, data model, and analytics for the global ecosystem
- Build and optimize processes that enable and drive our global ecosystem go-to-market and programs (e.g., deal registration, cloud co-sell, QTC, onboarding, training and certifications, NFR)
- Implement and optimize tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the business, serving as global owner of the ecosystem technology stack
- Translate ecosystem GTM strategy into technical solutions that automate business critical workflows to drive operational efficiency, effectiveness, scalability and growth
- Own the ecosystem data model by designing processes and systems to ensure critical data points are readily available for reporting and analytics, building and maintaining global SSOT reports and dashboards to provide actionable business insights, and developing ad hoc reporting and analysis to support strategic initiatives, projects, and OKRs
- Lead strategic cross-functional projects from end-to-end including directly contributing to deliverables, managing key stakeholders, and driving successful execution and on-time delivery
- Work cross-functionally to improve the integration between Salesforce and other mission-critical systems including Impartner, Vartopia, Tackle.io, Labra, and Zuora
- Be the point of escalation for sales strategy and operations, enterprise applications, finance, and compensation teams in matters related to the ecosystem organization
Requirements
- Demonstrated progressive relevant experience and understanding of ecosystem operations
- Experience managing individual contributor performance to lead a successful team
- Ability to delegate initiatives and drive results through team performance
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally (finance, product, fulfillment, IT, sales, etc) to lead and drive strategic initiatives
- Excellent problem solving, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical ability and able to prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent written/verbal communication
- Proven ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment
- Deep knowledge of SFDC and experience with partner management systems (e.g., Impartner) and enterprise SaaS tools
- Experience with QTC processes, tools, workflow design, and automation
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets with exposure to VBA/Script Editor
- Experience with SQL and BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred
- Proven ability to transform business needs into actionable technical requirements
- Interest in GitLab, and open source software

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$92,400—$198,000 USD
