Designs and evolves GitLab’s enterprise architecture across business, application, data, and technology domains. The role produces build-ready architectures for Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, Zendesk, Workato, integrations, data platforms, and AI-enabled workflows. Responsibilities include process redesign, API and data architecture, security and compliance, platform health assessments, technical debt reduction, proofs of concept, production issue resolution, and architectural governance. The architect partners closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and AI teams while influencing stakeholders without direct people management.

Leads GitLab’s public-sector renewals organization across Federal, State and Local, and Education accounts. Manages and develops Renewal Managers, improves forecast accuracy, oversees renewal risks, drives retention and expansion, and establishes scalable operating processes. Partners with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Product, Operations, and channel partners to support complex procurement and licensing cycles. Owns workforce planning, coverage, territory strategy, reporting, and leadership development for the renewals team.

Drive customer adoption of GitLab services by conducting discovery, aligning solutions to business outcomes, developing service proposals, supporting commercial negotiations, and coordinating engagement staffing and delivery. Partner with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Solutions Architects, and Professional Services teams to forecast services bookings, identify risks, close opportunities, and communicate customer trends. French fluency is essential.

Owns execution and outcomes for the Chief Customer Officer’s strategic portfolio, including go-to-market transformation, retention and renewal programs, product feedback loops, and executive account engagement. Converts executive direction into structured workstreams, coordinates senior cross-functional stakeholders, monitors program health and business metrics, escalates risks, drives accountability, and recommends scope or prioritization changes. The role also establishes operating standards for a growing programs function in a globally distributed environment.

Build reusable backend platforms and developer-facing tooling for performance testing, analysis, reporting, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. Enable service teams to independently incorporate performance testing into development and CI workflows through self-service capabilities, documentation, templates, diagnostics, and guidance. Partner with engineering teams, influence adoption, generalize solutions, and provide expertise on complex performance challenges.

Leads cross-team backend initiatives and technical architecture for GitLab’s Core DevOps platform. Responsibilities include modernizing a monolith, establishing service, API, data, security, testing, and observability standards, guiding Go and Kubernetes practices, supporting Rust adoption, participating in incident response, mentoring engineers, reducing technical debt, and advancing AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Design and operate automation for hundreds of isolated GitLab environments using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and cloud services. Troubleshoot production deployments, automate provisioning and upgrades, build observability and capacity-monitoring systems, lead incident response and postmortems, and influence scalable, secure infrastructure architecture. Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to improve reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency across multi-tenant environments.

Lead sales enablement for GitLab’s Public Sector business across Federal, State, Local, and Education markets. Develop tailored training, content, job aids, assessments, onboarding, and compliance guidance; partner with sales leadership and cross-functional teams; support procurement and contracting processes; align enablement with product launches and industry events; train teams on Salesforce, Clari, Claude, and related tools; and measure program effectiveness against business outcomes.

Lead end-to-end security incident response across GitLab’s cloud and corporate environments in the APAC region. Investigate complex incidents using DFIR methods, develop SIEM and detection capabilities, build automation and AI-assisted workflows, conduct root cause analysis, maintain response documentation, coordinate executive communications, and mentor engineers within a global 24/7 SIRT.

Supports revenue operations by maintaining go-to-market policies, rules of engagement, documentation, and data. Responds to policy questions, assists with dispute resolution, applies established policies, identifies process gaps, and coordinates with sales, compensation, strategy, and systems teams. This remote entry-level role requires careful data review, organization, clear communication, and consistent policy application.

Build and lead a globally distributed DevOps engineering team responsible for reliable platform capabilities and repository experiences. Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; guide architecture, security, performance, and maintainability; align delivery with product and design; improve agile workflows and execution; integrate AI-assisted tooling; and support operational health, reliability, and incident management.

Leads cross-functional technical programs across engineering teams and product stages, managing scope, timelines, milestones, risks, blockers, metrics, and stakeholder communication. Provide hands-on technical consultancy and solution guidance to APJ customers using GitLab for DevSecOps workflows. Drive product adoption, implementation success, renewals, and expansion through architectural guidance, workshops, demos, and enablement. Partner with account teams, manage multiple customer engagements, document best practices, mentor customers and colleagues, and communicate effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment. The role requires fluency in Japanese and English and full working rights in Japan.

Sources and engages passive candidates for sales roles across the AMER region, primarily Account Executives. Builds talent pipelines, maps competitive markets, screens candidates, partners with recruiters and hiring managers, maintains applicant tracking data, and improves outbound sourcing strategies and candidate experience in a fully remote environment.

Advise U.S. government customers on GitLab’s DevSecOps platform throughout the presales cycle. Responsibilities include technical demos, presentations, workshops, proof-of-concept and proof-of-value delivery, proposal and audit support, solution design, customer success planning, stakeholder relationship building, value stream assessments, and communicating customer feedback to internal teams.

Build and maintain Linux distribution packages, container images, CI tooling, and release infrastructure for GitLab. Enable development teams to integrate components through self-service tooling and documentation. Manage cloud marketplace integrations, installation and upgrade processes, dependency security, license compliance, and partner validation. Collaborate with development and security teams while reviewing external dependency and security updates.

Advises U.S. government customers on GitLab’s DevSecOps platform throughout the sales cycle. Leads technical evaluations, tailored demos, workshops, proofs of concept and value, proposal input, and deployment handoffs. Partners with sales and cross-functional teams to develop account strategies, build customer relationships, conduct value stream assessments, and communicate customer feedback internally. Requires technical pre-sales or consulting experience, GitLab and DevSecOps knowledge, cloud experience, and strong communication skills.

Leads a globally distributed engineering team responsible for GitLab’s Continuous Deployment capabilities. The role includes hiring, coaching, technical direction, architecture, roadmap collaboration, delivery reliability, incident participation, and establishing team processes. The manager guides development of distributed, durable workflow and deployment systems using Kubernetes, GitOps, progressive delivery, policy governance, and event-driven architectures in a remote-first environment.

Own and grow GitLab’s partner-sourced and influenced revenue across ASEAN. Build strategic relationships with AWS, GCP, major system integrators, cloud-native partners, and AI-native partners. Manage joint business plans, QBRs, Marketplace motions, partner enablement, pipeline generation, and quota attainment. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and regional ecosystem teams while helping shape GitLab’s ASEAN partner coverage model.

Provides executive-level technical advisory and pre-sales guidance to public sector customers on DevSecOps, application security, compliance, cloud platforms, and secure software delivery. Builds relationships with technology and security leaders, delivers thought leadership, supports government publications and standards discussions, partners with sales, marketing, and product teams, and translates field feedback into strategy, enablement, and technical content. This is a remote individual contributor role without direct people management responsibilities.
