Skillsoft is seeking an experienced cloud Manager of DevOps & Infrastructure Engineering and help shape the backbone of the world’s leading learning platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee multiple high-performing DevOps teams and an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) team, guiding the technical and strategic direction for our global cloud operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow multiple DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) teams, ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional development
  • Set and execute the strategic vision for infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, and DevOps transformation across Skillsoft
  • Partner with product, engineering, and security leaders to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions
  • Champion best practices in CI/CD, cloud-native infrastructure, and infrastructure as code
  • Drive adoption of AI and automation to optimize platform reliability and accelerate delivery
  • Oversee incident response, system reliability, and proactive risk management for high-volume, publicly exposed systems
  • Foster an agile, innovative, and inclusive team culture aligned with Skillsoft’s values
  • Drive Innovation: Champion the adoption of AI-powered automation, modern DevOps practices, and scalable cloud solutions using technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Harness.io, and AWS
  • Make a Global Impact: Your leadership will directly influence how millions of learners and organizations experience Skillsoft’s products, ensuring our platforms are robust, secure, and ready for the future
  • Foster Growth: Build and mentor a passionate team of engineers, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence
  • Shape the Future: Collaborate with engineering leaders across the US, Europe, and Hyderabad to set standards, remove bottlenecks, and drive seamless delivery pipelines

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure, with at least 3 years managing technical teams with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or commensurate experience
  • Recent experience leading DevOps and/or Infrastructure as Code teams in a cloud-first, enterprise environment
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation
  • Experience driving large-scale transformation initiatives and implementing best-in-class DevOps practices
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and reliability for high-traffic, customer-facing systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for mentoring, developing talent, and building high-trust, high-performance teams
  • Location: East Coast US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and scaling AI-driven DevOps or infrastructure automation solutions
  • Background in regulated or high-compliance industries
  • Demonstrated success leading globally distributed teams

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $150,000 - $180,000 annualized
