About the role.
As Manager, Demand Planning, you will play a critical role in shaping demand planning strategy across the Continental Europe region. Sitting within the Supply Chain organization and reporting to the Demand Planning leadership team, you will challenge, validate, and improve forecast accuracy while turning complex market and customer insights into actionable business decisions.
This is a highly visible, standalone role with no direct reports and exposure to senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Commercial, Customer Service, and Global teams. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of McCain's customer-facing business, product portfolio, and market dynamics, while building a strong foundation for future career growth within the organization.
What you'll be doing.
- Validate and challenge the reliability of the 18‑month rolling demand plan across multiple product categories and channels.
- Analyze forecast inputs from commercial teams, market intelligence, customer trends, sell-out data, and external sources to improve forecast quality.
- Leverage statistical forecasting and predictive analytics tools to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, and Global Planning teams to align demand and supply strategies.
- Monitor market developments, customer behaviors, and industry trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop and enhance forecasting models, reporting capabilities, and data management processes.
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, bias reduction, and data quality through a structured analytical approach.
- Support the S&OP process by providing robust analysis, business insights, and recommendations for decision-making.
- Challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and promote a culture of fact-based decision-making.
- Contribute to global forecasting and demand planning initiatives, ensuring best practices are adopted across the region.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, or a related analytical business function.
- Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies and predictive analytics.
- Experience using forecasting and planning tools within a complex business environment.
- Ability to interpret market trends, customer dynamics, and commercial strategies and translate them into business insights.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across cultures, functions, and levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to data quality and accuracy.
- Ability to challenge thinking constructively and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Experience within FMCG or a fast-moving consumer environment is strongly preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
About the team.
You will join the GB&I & EMENA Supply Chain organization and work closely with regional and global stakeholders across Demand Planning, Sales, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Supply Chain functions. This is a standalone management-level role with no direct reports, offering significant visibility and influence across the business. The position reports to the VP Supply Chain GB&I & EMENA and is designed for a professional looking to broaden their understanding of McCain's markets, customers, and operations while creating future development opportunities within the company.
