Prologis

A day in the life

The Manager, Customer Energy Analytics & Insights - Central Region serves as a bridge between Prologis customers, the real estate team, and the energy team by identifying and qualifying emerging energy needs across logistics, advanced manufacturing, and data center customers. The role applies analytical rigor to customer operating requirements, site electrical infrastructure, local grid conditions, and early project economics to translate energy needs into actionable insights and recommendations. In partnership with Utility Engagement, Origination, Development, Execution, Finance, Finance, Legal, and energy subject-matter experts, this role helps shape feasible energy solutions and surfaces constraints that may affect project scope, cost, or schedule. The role also supports customer and real estate discussions with clear technical and feasibility context so energy opportunities and risks can be understood early and carried consistently through project development.

Key responsibilities include:

•   Qualify customer energy needs by analyzing on-site electrical infrastructure, local grid conditions, and 8,760-hour operating requirements, and partner with Utility Engagement and on-site energy solutions teams to assess how identified needs can be met.

•   Document customer requirements, schedule, utility strategy, site constraints, and initial financial pro forma assumptions in partnership with Utility Engagement and Origination.

•   Scope early-stage energy opportunities with Origination and Project Development, ensuring key requirements, constraints, project risks, and potential mitigations are clearly identified.

•   Identify access-to-power blockers with Real Estate, Legal, and energy subject-matter experts, including utility capacity, easements, site access, permitting, equipment timing, and constructability, and communicate potential impacts on scope, cost, and schedule.

•   Provide and review inputs for early-stage investment gates, including feasibility findings, utility considerations, preliminary cost and schedule assumptions, development risks, and financial pro forma inputs.

•   Coordinate handoffs to Origination, Development, and Execution by documenting customer requirements and early-stage opportunity analytics, and help maintain consistency of agreed customer needs through design, execution, and operation.

•   Serve as the primary technical and feasibility resource for energy and electrical-design questions in customer and real estate discussions, while Origination retains commercial and overall solution ownership.

•   Ability to work closely with the Head of Commercial - OnPrem Power & Mobility Origination, SVP Strategic Utility Engagement & SVP Head of OnPrem & Emerging Energy Solutions in execution of responsibilities.
