Our global Finance Operations carries out accounting tasks and provides financial services in multiple areas. We value accuracy, collaboration, and innovation in the world of finance.

We are now looking for the Manager, Controlling Services to join our team in Ostrava, Czechia.

We are also open for applications from candidates interested in working at our location in Ždírec, Czechia.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Controlling Services and play an important role in leading the team, improving controlling processes, and supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services across our global organization.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Operate as Team Lead for centralized finance operations controllers

  • Ensure accurate, consistent, efficient and high quality delivery of controlling and financial reporting services (budgeting, forecasting, closing, analysis and reporting) to Business Areas, Business Units and Group/Function teams

  • Act as key contact point and business partner for internal stakeholders on controlling service delivery, development and issue resolution

  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations

  • Enable talent development and drive positive performance culture

  • Drive and enable development initiatives, process efficiency, harmonization and automation activities

  • Ensure Stora Enso Finance processes and policies are implemented and applied

  • Follow-up service performance based on KPI's and SLA's

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, management reporting or accounting with experience of shared services or centralized finance operations

  • Experience of operative team management, talent development and people leadership

  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills

  • Business partnering and customer-oriented mindset with ability to influence in a matrix organization in international environment

  • Good understanding of controlling processes (entity closing and operative financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting) and proven experience of driving process improvements, harmonization and automation

  • Analytical approach with capability to solve issues both on detailed tasks and larger scale concepts

  • Experience of controlling tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, SAP, OneStream, Power BI)

  • Change management and continuous improvement focus

  • Excellent fluency in English

Skills Required
