As the Manager, Connected Solutions Operations, this position is responsible for managing our installation vendor relationships ensuring that we have a consistent client experience and working through challenges impacting logistics timing or P&L considerations. The position is the hub of case management and logistics support ensuring we meet BSC OTCD and CSAT expectations through consistent use of SOPs and checks for quality in responses to clients. They ensure that their team is highly engaged in automation initiatives to make capacity for growth by reducing complexities and automated manual tasks and reporting.

A Day in the Life

  • Manage operations support and logistics processes including device orders and inventory management, OEM activations, activation/installation, vendor escalation support, and non-reporting units’ identification & reporting.

  • Responsible for consistent achievement balanced scorecard metric targets aligned to team and associated monitoring and reporting. Ensure SOPs are being utilized for consistent client experiences.

  • Develop and manage pipeline of technology automation opportunities and works with technology data manager to execute these initiatives. Interpret policies and develops practical or innovative solutions to meet goals and solve complex problems.

  • Provide consultation to management regarding processes and solutions that affect business operations significantly. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Provide executive reporting.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams within Element; for example, work directly with vehicle acquisition team on timing of new device orders and OEM activation; work directly with FPS engagement team and remarketing on vehicle deinstallation or deactivation needs.

  • Responsible for managing the telematics hardware installation and upfitter relationships including client escalations, workflow changes, reporting and billing resolution.

  • Accountable for management of the daily activities of a team, including setting priorities, and providing employee performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline and other personnel actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Business and / or related field preferred

  • 6+ years relevant experience, including operations process & design, six sigma and logistics

  • 2+ years people management experience

  • Strong technology and analytical experience, especially with process development and design

  • Knowledge of the telematics and install logistics preferred

  • Strong presentation, communication and writing skills

  • Detail orientated with strong organizational and project management skills

  • Customer focused, high energy, self-starter

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Financial acumen with ability to understand and use financial information to make business decisions

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
