Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation and security of our robot network systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both traditional IT systems and cutting-edge robotic technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software.
- Collaborate with Figure’s customers to design and implement IT infrastructure.
- Ensure reliability of the IT infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and robotic systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data transferred between robots and the central system.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and implement solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management.
- Strong knowledge of computer networks, server management, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with robotic systems and IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with production deployment of Machine Learning systems.
- Experience with config-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
