Position Overview 

Vantage is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, initiative-driven, quick-learning colleague to execute on projects to support the finance organization, including debt capital raising (acquisition financing, construction financing, securitizations), interest rate risk management, and cash forecasting. You will support the Director, Capital Markets directly and interact with the SVP, Capital Markets and Chief Financial Officer (Global), CFO Europe, & SVP, Corporate Development and Strategy, and the teams supporting them. The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter who is capable of driving results without constant direction. You should have a professional-growth mindset and be willing to bring

Essential Job Functions 

Debt Capital Raising Initiatives: 

  • Support and manage debt capital raising activities, including project financing and acquisition financing. 

  • Prepare detailed project information materials for banks through close interaction with finance, new site development, construction, and operations teams. 

  • Create, maintain, and update flexible, accurate and user-friendly financial models to support debt capital raising decisions. 

  • Assist in negotiating term-sheets and prepare recommendations for debt financing solutions. 

  • Respond to lender and rating agency due diligence requests. 

  • Facilitate smooth information flow between banks, lawyers, and internal teams. 

  • Negotiate loan documentation and manage key terms in coordination with legal counsel. 

  • Maintain trackers to monitor tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines. 

  • Ensure smooth handover of financing transactions to the finance team for funding mechanics, reporting requirements, and covenant compliance. 

  • Coordinate with the finance team for post-closing interactions with lenders, including amendments and waivers. 

  • Monitor competitor debt financing structures and maintain internal databases. 

Interest Rate Risk Management: 

  • Perform scenario analyses on interest rate volatility and its impact on covenant compliance. 

  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses of various interest rate hedging mechanisms (e.g., swaps, caps, swaptions) and provide recommendations. 

  • Assist in executing interest rate hedging transactions to mitigate financial risks. 

Reporting & Analysis: 

  • Prepare presentations and analysis for the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders across the organization. 

  • Manage the development and maintenance of management and investor KPI dashboard reporting. 

  • Create reports comparing Vantage’s current capital structure and financing vehicles to peer companies and analyzing/recommending opportunities to optimize cost of capital.

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management. 

 

Job Requirements 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. 

Experience: 

  • 2-3 years investment banking experience with Debt Capital Markets (Leveraged Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate Finance, or ABS origination) experience preferred, or 3-4 years of experience at a big-four accounting firm focused on debt capital markets  

Skills: 

  • Strong analytical mind, problem solving skills, quantitative / qualitative skillset, and modelling skills, required 

  • Self-starter, ability to operate independently in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once 

  • Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner  

  • Executive presence and effective communication skills, required 

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details 

  • Salary Range: $135,000-$140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations) 

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits. 

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
