About the Role

Support and assist General Counsel(GC) in all aspects, including strategic planning, achieving business objectives, and ensuring effective and timely communication.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.    Strategic Planning: assist in strategic planning of GC function; draft the reporting materials of GC function

2.    Legal Assignments: work on assigned legal tasks including, without limitation, litigation management; management of connected transactions; legal analysis, and reviewing and drafting legal documentation, etc.

3.    Administrative Coordination

  • Coordinate schedules and handle requests and responses internally and externally; being the liaison between GC and other EXCOs, GMs, leaders, employees, external clients, vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth communications among all these parties.
  • Manage complex calendar that changes often which requires speedy coordination, business acumen and sensitivity.
  • Make travel arrangements and prepare itineraries domestically and internationally; manage changes and reschedules as per need.
  • Plan and organize regular business meetings, events, workshops, functional meetings, townhalls to support business objectives (onsite, offsite and virtual). Prepare, coordinate documents and materials prior to the meetings and summarize meeting minutes and conclusions for post-meeting follow-up.
  • Manage documentation and data filing that ensures business continuity.
  • Support on monthly expense settlement e.g. T&E fee, monthly business card reimbursement etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above from law schools.
  • Certified qualification in law.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in life insurance industry or a law firm.
  • Experienced in independently managing multiple concurrent tasks and meeting rigid deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a keen sense of customer centric.
  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to details.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, good at project management.
  • Ability to communicate English and Mandarin effectively – both verbally and in written.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Offices – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other office software.
  • Mindset and knowledge of AI and application is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
