The Manager, Business Insights & Analytics is responsible for transforming advisor, client, portfolio, sales, and operational data into meaningful business intelligence that supports decision-making across the Wealth Advisory business.
Reporting to the SVP of the Wealth Advisory business, and working closely with Operations, Sales, Advisor Support, Technology, and business leadership teams, the incumbent will leverage data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance drivers, translating complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
This role serves as a key business partner, helping stakeholders better understand advisor practices, client activity, sales performance, portfolio composition, and operational effectiveness. The incumbent will play a critical role in advancing data-driven decision-making while supporting the evolution of the firm's wealth platform as a trusted and comprehensive source of business intelligence.
Success in this role requires strong wealth industry knowledge, advanced analytical capability, and the ability to translate data into compelling business narratives for a wide range of audiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Business Intelligence & Strategic Analysis

  • Analyze advisor, client, portfolio, operational, and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance drivers.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to support strategic business decisions, growth initiatives, advisor engagement strategies, and operational improvements.
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve advisor productivity, client outcomes, operational efficiency, and business growth.
  • Leverage advisor and portfolio data to identify growth opportunities, client segmentation strategies, wallet-share opportunities, and advisor engagement insights.
  • Develop analytical approaches that move stakeholders beyond understanding "what happened" to understanding "why it happened" and "what should happen next."
  • Translate complex analytical findings into practical business recommendations tailored to Operations, Sales, Advisor, and Executive audiences.

Advisor, Client & Sales Analytics

  • Develop meaningful reporting and insights related to:
    • Advisor books of business
    • Client acquisition, retention, and engagement
    • Sales performance and business development activity
    • Portfolio composition, asset concentration, and opportunity analysis
    • Operational effectiveness and service delivery
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop advisor and client intelligence reporting that supports business development, opportunity identification, market penetration, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Support analysis that enables advisors and business leaders to identify opportunities within existing client portfolios and books of business.
  • Deliver insights that help stakeholders better understand advisor behaviour, client segmentation, business trends, and sales effectiveness.
  • Analyze data across multiple business and operational sources to uncover opportunities that may not be apparent through traditional reporting.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, executive reporting, and analytical tools.
  • Create reporting solutions that are scalable, intuitive, and tailored to stakeholder needs across the organization.
  • Design reporting outputs and insight presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommended actions.
  • Partner with Wealth Operations leadership to establish meaningful business metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leaders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve the usability, relevance, and adoption of reporting solutions.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build strong relationships across Wealth Operations, Sales, Advisor Support, Technology, and senior business leadership teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on reporting, analytics, and business intelligence opportunities.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into data, reporting, and analytical solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand information needs and ensure reporting outputs support informed decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to enhance the value and impact of analytics throughout the Wealth Advisory business.

Data Governance & Platform Evolution

  • Support initiatives to improve data quality, integrity, governance, and reporting consistency.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the wealth platform as a trusted single source of truth for advisor, client, sales, and operational reporting.
  • Help standardize business definitions, performance metrics, and reporting methodologies.
  • Support the development of scalable business intelligence capabilities and self-service reporting solutions.
