KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum first degree in relevant field; i.e. Agricultural Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness etc.
- Hands-on experience with liability and asset management. In-depth familiarity with Fidelity Bank’s relevant products and services
- Deep understanding of the local Ghanaian market for agricultural finance and agricultural value chains
- Minimum of 3 years banking experience, ideally as an Agric CRM, Agric Credit Analyst, BSSM (BM), or head of related department
- Understanding of the segment’s key profit drivers
- Good communication and inter personal skills
- Good team building and coaching skills
- Experience in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to self-organize, think in both innovative and structured ways, ability to problem-solve

KEY RESULT AREAS
Nation-wide Business Development
- In coordination with the Director SME Banking and in line with the bank’s agribusiness strategy, determine the priority areas of the Agricultural sector relevant to Business & SME Banking
- By harnessing the value-chain concept (in conjunction with Branch Network and the SME Hubs), conceptualize and implement nation-wide Agricultural business development initiatives for the Business & SME
- Oversee all agricultural acquisition efforts across the branch network including below-the-line, and above-the-line (in conjunction with the Brand Network and the SME Hubs) initiatives
Branch and Hub Support
- Together with the Director SME Banking, set agricultural targets for the SME. Hubs regarding liabilities (deposits), risk assets (loans), trade, ebanking products, and profit targets based on all related services
- Implement the bank’s agribusiness strategy, as specified by the Divisional Director BB & SME
- Support CHM, RSSMs, BSSMs, and most of all, (Agric) SME Relationship Managers/Officers.
- Help organize monthly and quarterly branch and regional meetings with relevant branch staff to organize daily and monthly work around new client acquisition, client service, product uptake, and cross-selling.
- The goal is to ensure that all CRMs meet and exceed their individual growth/profit targets and keep high customer service standards.
- Consolidating nation-wide insights, help structure regular trainings for client facing staff involved with serving Agribusiness clients (e.g. sales training, client relationship management training, sector-specific training, credit risk detection training, arrears management training)
- Work with the Director SME Banking, participate in HR feedbacks on Agribusiness CRM/O performance, using the balance scorecards and other performance monitoring tools of CRMs as a guide.
Credit Risk Follow-up
- Work with the Credit Risk Department and Commercial Credit
- Origination, coordinate agricultural lending activities with the SME Hubs
- Together with the Portfolio Management team, follow up on Arrears Management tasks of CRMs by supporting Hub Managers and CRM/Os, in particular for agribusiness loans in arrears 0-90 days
- Advise Hub Managers, and CRM/Os on the credit risk aspects of agricultural risk asset (loans) business development
Customer Service and SME Capacity Building
- Ensure that service delivered to agricultural clients across the SME Hubs is professional, consistent, and efficient and based on deep sector-specific knowledge of the target client group
- Hold regular interaction sessions with clients to gauge customer satisfaction and gather information from the field on what additional products and services might be necessary to keep our product offering cutting-edge
- Hold training sessions for agricultural clients through the Business Academy and other workshops to increase agribusiness formality and capacity (e.g.bookkeeping, risk management, succession planning, cost management, etc).
