Overview:
The Services team and solutions fuel growth for partners globally by providing cutting-edge capabilities in the areas of Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, Business and Market Insights, and Open Banking. Mastercard Services' Operational Intelligence (OI) team is expanding its AI platform with Agentic AI and large language model (LLM)-driven autonomous systems, with a specific focus on transforming financial reconciliation workflows across the payments ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Agentic AI Product Management - Financial Reconciliation to lead the end-to-end product ownership of intelligent, AI-powered reconciliation solutions. This role will bridge deep financial domain knowledge with cutting-edge agentic AI capabilities to design and deliver autonomous reconciliation workflows that reduce manual intervention, improve accuracy, and drive operational efficiency at scale. You will be a key contributor in translating complex financial operations requirements into structured Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), product roadmaps, and execution-ready deliverables for engineering and AI/ML teams.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy, vision & BRD Ownership
- Identify clear strategy of autonomous agentic reconciliation roadmap based on customer pain points, evolving network needs and market trends and translate that to business requirements.
- Own and author comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for agentic AI-powered reconciliation products, capturing business context, functional requirements, data flows, exception-handling logic, and success metrics
- Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap for automated financial reconciliation covering transaction matching, exception management, dispute resolution, and settlement workflows
- Engage directly with clients and partners to validate needs, test concepts, and refine solutions.
- Work with Product development and TPMs to create strategic migration plan and product roadmaps
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery, working closely with product development and engineering.
- Drive the business strategy for the product, including customer impact analysis, pricing, sales, and go-to-market plans.
- Effectively communicate product strategy, priorities, and vision across all organizational levels.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals
- Translate complex reconciliation business rules and regulatory requirements into clear EPICs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and data
- science teams
- Drive 0→1 product development for new agentic reconciliation capabilities, from discovery through production launch
- Lead backlog prioritization and sprint execution in close collaboration with engineering, data, and design teams
- Define and track KPIs for reconciliation product performance, including match rates, exception resolution time, straight-through processing (STP) rates, and
- audit trail completeness
- Ensure all product deliverables meet enterprise standards for data governance, compliance, and financial controls
Stakeholder Collaboration & Discovery
- Conduct product discovery with internal operations teams, finance, treasury, issuers, acquirers, and processors to deeply understand reconciliation pain
- points and workflow gaps
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk functions to ensure agentic reconciliation solutions meet applicable regulatory and internal control requirements
- Communicate product vision, progress, and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership
- Support go-to-market planning, pricing inputs, client onboarding documentation, and enablement materials for reconciliation AI products
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Management within technology-driven environments, with demonstrated ownership of financial operations,reconciliation, or payments products
- Hands-on experience authoring BRDs, PRDs, functional specifications, and technical requirement documents for complex financial workflows
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, tool-use patterns, and evaluation frameworks
- Strong understanding of financial reconciliation processes including transaction matching, exception handling, settlement, dispute resolution, and regulatory reporting
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured, execution-ready product requirements
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, design, compliance, and operations teams in an agile environment
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort in experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, or Finance is
- highly desirable
- Background in fintech, payments, or regulated financial environments strongly preferred
- Experience with enterprise-grade, compliance-sensitive, or audit-driven systems is a plus
Preferred Technical Exposure:
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or OpenAI Agent SDK
- Exposure to vector databases, embeddings, and RAG-based architectures
- Understanding of financial data platforms, APIs, and event-driven reconciliation systems
- Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data infrastructure
