We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

It's an amazing time to join the Netflix team in APAC as we continue to transform entertainment and bring our region’s stories to audiences around the world.

This role sits at the intersection of Netflix's ads story, a diverse set of APAC businesses and markets, and the people inside Netflix — and will be responsible for connecting those dots.

The Team:

Communications at Netflix represents a seasoned group of professionals shaping and telling the story of Netflix as the global leader in streaming entertainment. The work of this team is critical in illustrating the company’s success and reinforcing our reputation in a fast-changing, complex and competitive global landscape. We tell compelling stories about our Netflix titles, brand and local initiatives, working closely with advertising, partnerships, content, policy, publicity, production, and other functions to infuse these stories with their efforts.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Manager to lead our advertising and partnerships communications in APAC and oversee internal communications across the region.

This role will serve as the regional communications lead for Netflix's advertising business across APAC, connecting our global advertising communications strategy with the needs and opportunities of our local markets. They will partner closely with regional Ads leaders and cross-functional teams, identify stories and opportunities that can travel across the region, and equip local communications teams to tell compelling stories about Netflix's advertising business in their markets.

They should have a strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem and how to leverage communications channels all across APAC, especially Korea, Japan, Australia, and China. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is an advantage, and candidates with a proven track record of new media and social-first storytelling will be preferred.

In addition, the role will lead our internal communications activity across the region — helping APAC staff understand global and regional priorities, feel connected to leadership with regular programs and events, and stay inspired by creative internal campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a relationship builder, who can be a trusted partner and adviser to teams across multiple disciplines. This role will create and manage communications strategies, including pitches, announcements, and executive comms both internally and externally (closely partnering with our Regional Leadership Team).

As Manager, Advertising, Partnerships & Internal Communications - Pan APAC, you will:

  • Craft press narratives and leverage regional storytelling opportunities to shape perceptions across APAC around our ads business and capabilities

  • Be the regional touchpoint for advertising communications — working with local comms and advertising teams to shape story angles and translate business strategy into communications strategy

  • Serve as a trusted communications partner to APAC Ads leaders and cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Measurement, Product and other functions, bringing communications counsel and an informed regional point of view to business priorities

  • Support communications for Netflix's growing Export Ads business, partnering closely with the Singapore-based business team to build the narrative and communications strategy for Mainland China and other export markets

  • Develop and nurture business media relationships, with a deep understanding of the regional press landscape and targeted pitching strategies

  • Be the connective tissue with global advertising comms — ensuring best practice across the region and identifying relevant global opportunities for local teams

  • Touchpoint for our partnership announcements across the region — working closely with the Partnerships team and third party suppliers on a range of bundles and deals.

  • Draft communications plans, announcements, briefing materials, and messaging documents

  • Leveraging locally-led brand partnerships, consumer products, and live experiences to highlight the creativity and innovation within APAC

  • Lead internal communications across APAC — helping employees understand regional and global priorities, strengthening connection with leadership, and developing creative programs that build context and connection across our geographically diverse teams

  • Raise the team's collective capability by applying and sharing AI-driven approaches to reputation monitoring, pitching, drafting, and workflow efficiency

This role is based in Singapore, and reports to the Director, Communications - Pan-APAC.

The candidate must:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in advertising and/or corporate communications

  • Have established working media relationships at trade, entertainment, consumer, and business outlets, along with a keen interest in non-traditional and emerging media channels

  • Clear and concise communication style; strong written and verbal skills that can effectively convey complex ideas

  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate with a range of teams across the business to deliver shared impact, and clearly communicate broader business priorities to the wider team

  • Comfort translating technical or product-driven concepts (e.g., ad tech, agentic AI tools) into clear external narratives, partnering effectively with product and technology communications counterparts

  • Be comfortable communicating with both external and internal audiences, including partnering with senior leaders to translate business priorities into clear, engaging communications

  • Experience handling a high volume of complex projects and tasks for multiple people and teams while simultaneously managing competing priorities

  • A curious and ambitious self-starter with an interest in what drives conversation and how Netflix can be at the forefront of ads innovation.

  • Have a point of view, and be able to offer a unique perspective and voice.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.

Skills Required

  • 10+ years of experience in advertising and/or corporate communications
  • Established media relationships across trade, entertainment, consumer, and business outlets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and disciplines
  • Experience translating technical or product concepts, including ad tech and AI tools, into clear narratives
  • Experience communicating with external audiences and senior internal leaders
  • Ability to manage complex projects, high volumes of work, and competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English
  • Experience with new media and social-first storytelling
