We are looking for a Management Accountant / Business Analyst to own financial reporting, management accounting, and data analysis across a multi-entity, multi-currency global manufacturing business. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation combined with the ability to work across multiple business systems to extract and interpret data. This role is critical for transforming financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support reporting, process improvements, and informed decision-making across the group.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:
Divisional Performance
Weekly
- Maintain weekly outlook of P&L for BCP Australia by operating business unit and investigate any.
- significant variances, update sales forecasts.
- Maintain sales & margin reports by business unit.
- Support Sales Managers with weekly data for operational reporting.
Monthly
- Prepare P&L by business unit, including preparation/review of variances, journals, accruals and other adjustments agreed with managers.
- Complete reconciliations to the general ledger for P&L, Balance Sheet, Sales & Margin (PHP).
- Preparation of corporate requirements as required – eg Material recovery (environmental reporting).
- Prophix data maintenance for BCP (sales data).
- Preparation of BCP requirements for management packs (corporate & divisional).
Quarterly
- Review of standard costs for business units and make recommendations for updates.
- Prepare transfer prices for internal supply.
- Review impact of standard cost and transfer pricing updates for business unit margins.
- Updating Supplier, Customer prices and Standard costs as appropriate for Transfer Pricing impact.
- Run resin price sensitivity analysis.
- Updates to rolling quarterly budgets as per corporate and group requirements.
- Business Partnering & Decision Support.
- Finance support to operations managers and BCP Group.
- Perform inventory health analysis checks and produce related reports on request.
- Assist sales department with price list uploads and changes.
- Assist with costing and pricing of new and proposed items – simulate and report.
- Assist corporate finance team with requirements such as capex and tax related matters.
- Comply to management accounting related ad-hoc request from internal and external stakeholders.
- Process Improvement and other adhoc.
- Maintain procedures for management accounting processes.
- Support projects and BCP Group initiatives.
- Support system improvement and new software roll out.
- Follow up on opportunities to address issues arising from performance of role.
Requirements
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
- Preferably CA or CPA qualified.
- Knowledge of Standard costing, Budgeting and Forecasting within a manufacturing environment.
- In depth understanding of accounting principles and theories.
- Ability to read, understand and recommend improvements to key manufacturing metrics.
- Understanding of manufacturing costing concepts such as Bill of materials (BOM), routings, cycle-counts, labour-hours, work centres etc.
- Advanced Excel skill.
