McIntosh Maintenance Technician Job Description
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing production machinery, plumbing, minor heating and minor electrical issues. They are also responsible for inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Being able to trouble shoot manufacturing machine issues so that parts can be ordered and repairs can be made.
- Performing Repairs on manufacturing equipment to keep production schedules running smoothly.
- Optimizing production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed.
- Keeping equipment maintenance logs on work performed on equipment to assure proper performance.
- Perform and document Preventive Maintenance.
- Conducting Quality checks on production equipment periodically throughout the day.
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as repairing structural damage, for example, windows, doors and wall repairs.
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Working on minor electrical issues.
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility working properly.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Painting the building when needed, interior and exterior.
- Empty Cardboard recycle bins throughout the day.
- Assist with Landscape duties and Snow removal.
- Follow all McIntosh Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Pay attention to detail and help out with building housekeeping when needed.
- Being reliable is a key factor for all maintenance employees. Be reliable, prompt, efficient, and willing to help out where ever help is needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing technician and knowledge of production processes.
