This is a non-climate-controlled environment & 12 hr shifts
We currently have openings for our 1st/2nd shift for the following positions:
- Nights Machine Operators-$15.00-$17.50
- Day Shift Machine Operators-$15-$15.50
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remove finished rolls from weaving machines
- Build and stage pallets for finished products
- Replenish materials and keep work areas clean
- Operate and monitor weaving machines
- Change, thread, and adjust wire and blades
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Maintain the surrounding area, keeping the area free of debris
Requirements
- Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening, and taking instructions
- Good leadership and training skills
- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs
- Great time management
- Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues
NECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be able to work in a team-based, positive, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to understand written instructions and follow procedures.
- Must be able and willing to work 5 PM-5 AM MON-FRI and Saturdays as needed. Employees average at least 40 hours a week, no more than 50.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
