We are looking for a Staff AI Solutions Engineer to shape FanDuel’s strategic AI architecture and deliver scalable platforms for the next generation of intelligent products.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll define technical strategy, mentor engineers, and architect end-to-end generative-AI solutions that transform how FanDuel leverages data. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver, a team player, and someone who brings both technical depth and a collaborative mindset to every challenge.

If you’re excited by this challenge and want to work within a dynamic company, then we’d love to hear from you.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

Prototype & Build Generative AI Solutions

· Architect and lead development of enterprise-grade RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and domain-specific copilots.

· Integrate foundation models (Anthropic, OpenAI) at scale, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and security.

· Leverage domain-specific data to fine-tune, distill, and continuously evaluate model outputs.

· Drive creation of experimental tooling that unlocks data across FanDuel and accelerates innovation.

· Establish robust feedback loops measuring accuracy, intent alignment, safety, and user satisfaction.

Deliver High-Quality, Reliable Applications

· Define performance targets and optimize AI systems for latency, throughput, and responsiveness.

· Advance prompt-engineering, embedding-tuning, and model-compression strategies.

· Build observability by default—design logging, tracing, evaluation dashboards, and feedback pipelines.

· Own and extend organization-wide dashboards for AI performance, ethics, and compliance metrics.

· Lead monitoring of hallucinations, bias, policy violations; enforce safe-by-design standards.

Contribute to Engineering Excellence

· Define and promote reusable patterns for AI integration, observability, and governance.

· Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and internal RFCs.

· Help scale our Foundation AI Platform and ensure experimentation leads to production-ready standards.

Collaborate & Communicate

· Partner with product and executive leadership to prioritize high-impact AI initiatives.

· Translate complex technical trade-offs into clear, actionable insights for all stakeholders.

· Mentor engineers, foster an inclusive culture, and champion crawl-walk-run experimentation across FanDuel.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

8+ years of experience in software, ML, or AI engineering, including ownership of large-scale generative-AI systems.

· Expert-level Python and deep knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.

· Mastery of RAG architectures, embedding pipelines, advanced model-evaluation, and A/B testing.

· Proven track record building observability stacks—logs, traces, metrics, human-in-the-loop feedback—for AI products.

· Hands-on leadership in LLM safety, governance, policy alignment, and responsible-AI standards.

· Cloud-native architecture expertise with AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda); strong data warehouse and database experience.

· Demonstrated ability to design infra-scalable, cost-efficient AI platforms and guide MLOps best practices.

Preferred Skills

· Thought leadership in hybrid retrieval, vector-search innovation, or multi-modal embeddings.

· Experience crafting intuitive UIs for AI observability or prompt-driven tools.

· Deep engagement with AI governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.

· Success building AI in tightly regulated environments (e.g., gaming, finance).
