Job Description:
1. Purpose
To perform and monitor operational logistic activities regarding inbound and outbound logistics to achieve cost effective and smooth logistics processes.
2. Key Accountabilities
1) To support set up and implementation of Huntsman & local EHS regulatory requirements, emergency response systems standards and procedures for internal logistics (incl. Warehouse) and external logistics operations in line with agreed customer service standards.
2) To coordinate relevant departments in reviewing, standardizing and implementing import and export procedures in compliance with AEO certification requirements, ensuring completion of the annual internal audit and actively preparing for AEO Advanced Certification.
3) To conduct Customs declaration and documents preparation for import deliveries.
4) To support CS team in export delivery management focusing on trouble shooting and complaints handling.
5) To co-ordinate the daily logistics operations including outbound and inbound deliveries, technical logistics, fleet (isotank) supervision and all related trouble shootings to ensure smooth loading, unloading, transportation and drumming processes.
6) To coordinate with manufacturing plants, LSPs and customers to support the construction of storage tanks and appropriate unloading facilities at customer sites, ensuring safe iso-tank operations and supporting the development of bulk business.
7) To investigate for logistics service-related complaints from external and internal customers, work out corrective & preventive actions and monitor the effectiveness and timeliness of these actions.
8) To renew logistics related certifications such as IMI on annual basis or ad hoc.
9) To provide monthly reports for the agreed logistic KPI’s and based on the analysis of those to support continual improvement of 3rd party logistical service providers.
10) To proactively identify logistics cost-saving opportunities and develop cost-effective, efficient logistics models to support continuous improvement.
3. Special Features
1) A good understanding of the imp & export process and rich experience in communication with government authorities such as Customs.
2) Given the complexity of MDI transportation, domestic and international, a high degree of technical logistics knowledge is required including good product knowledge.
4. Basic Requirements
1) Education
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in a chemical subject
2) Experience
a. At least 3 years’ working experience in international logistics
b. Preference for candidates with working experience in regional/global multinational companies
3) Skills
a. Fluent in English both in reading and writing
b. Excellent supply chain knowledge is a plus
c. Excellent computer skills especially in SAP and MS Office
d. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to work across all levels
