Ingredion is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented International Logistics Planner – Ocean to support our international transportation operations. This role is key to ensuring optimal carrier performance, improving service levels, and driving continuous improvement across our logistics network.
As an International Logistics Planner – Ocean, you will support the execution of day-to-day international logistics operations, including tracking shipments, managing carrier relationships, and resolving service issues. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
This role reports to the International Logistics Manager.
What will you do:
- Track and trace international shipments and ensure timely execution of orders.
- Partner with freight forwarders to ensure compliance with Ingredion protocols.
- Monitor carrier performance and lead key metrics to drive service improvements.
- Audit freight invoices and ensure accuracy in billing and accruals.
- Resolve urgent logistics issues and communicate proactively with Customer Service.
- Support international compliance and procurement teams with operational needs.
- Participate in special projects focused on continuous improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis for service issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize utilization of ocean transportation networks for escalated shipments.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–6 years of experience in international logistics or transportation.
- Knowledge of international transportation, customs clearance, and accessorial charges.
- Experience with SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
