Location:  San Diego, CA


Introduction:

Rivet Operations Company (“Rivet”) has an opening for a Logistics Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in the San Diego, CA area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development. 


Duties:

The performance of this work requires the application of broad knowledge of a wide variety of logistics support activities necessary to support Navy Operations. These include, but are not limited to:

  • • Provide service in connection with Navy logistics operation, financial management and inventory management.• Provide services in connection with aviation supply/logistic management for ashore activities.• Provide qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring supply effectiveness and efficiency. Perform independent analysis of naval aviation readiness and cost-wise readiness, ERP, and initiatives affecting the Supply Chain.• Provide supply management inspections and assessments of and trainings for ashore aviation support commands and activities.• Prepare reports and submit results, with recommendations for improvements, for all inspections and assessments conducted.• Conduct reviews of new and existing supply systems and programs and provide draft reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions, improvements, or solutions.• Develop aviation supply policies and procedures utilizing the new and existing supply systems and programs.• Conduct training for new and existing supply systems and programs to ashore aviation activities and other commands and units. Develop, analyze, conduct operational audits, and prepare follow-up reports evaluating effectiveness of systems implementations.• Conduct studies, review findings, make recommendations for improved operating procedures and policies concerning BOD/BOG, ERP and future logistics, supply and maintenance program initiatives.• Support the Government in research and development of Force Supply policies, procedures and guidance to be provided to CNAF/CNAP supported units.• Collect, review, monitor and analyze data received from supported activities.• Employ analytical methods to ascertain state of aviation readiness at ashore aviation units and to improve decision making at ashore aviation units to improve flight line readiness.• Design, build and maintain a historical and trend analysis database required to evaluate and monitor performance metrics.• Evaluate current Access database files and Excel spreadsheets and recommend improvement for performance metrics and management tool applications.
  • Have a clear understanding of CMP and CMP reporting.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.• Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision.• Works well in a team environment.• 15 years of logistic experience in the U.S military preferred.• Associate’s degree in logistics or a business discipline is required.• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook) is required.• Experience with inventory management in the Navy. • Proficiency in Stock Control functions, ERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR, FIAR processes.• Experience and knowledge of the Navy Working Capital fund policies and concepts.• Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.• Experience with automated supply/maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes.• Proficiency with Navy R-Supply system, SABRS, CFMS, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and DFAS OnePay system.• Knowledge of Supplemental Aviation Spares Support (SASS), Material, Supply Response (SRS) Section, Supply Application Administrator (SAA), Component Control Section (CCS), and Continuous Monitoring Program. (CMP) are a plus.


Security Clearance:

Position requires applicant to be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the position.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Lifting to 40 lbs.
