This role coordinates day-to-day logistics operations across the UK and Europe, acting as the primary point of contact for third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses, transport providers, and other supply chain partners. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining accurate system transactions and inventory records, and supporting the smooth execution of inbound, storage, and outbound activities. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics activities, maintaining inventory accuracy through effective ERP and warehouse system management, resolving operational issues, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement to ensure high levels of service, visibility, and operational compliance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound, storage, and outbound logistics activities, including transport bookings, urgent shipments, and operational issue resolution to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through effective ERP and warehouse system transactions, supporting stock integrity, visibility, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy.
- Monitor logistics and inventory performance, investigating discrepancies and working with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues promptly.
- Work closely with warehouse teams, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
- Support warehouse and transport planning activities to ensure efficient order fulfilment, stock availability, and on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and operational standards across all logistics activities.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service performance.
- Support ERP and warehouse management system (WMS) processes by ensuring timely transaction processing, accurate data maintenance, and effective system utilization.

Core Competencies and Requirements
Education
- Education to degree level is preferred, ideally in a relevant field
Work Experience
- Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations, ideally within a medium to large organization.
- Knowledge of food / FMCG logistics operations, with multi-temperature and/or warehouse experience considered advantageous.
Technical / Language Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with ERP and/or WMS systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) would be beneficial.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
