Job Description

Job Summary:

The Lien Perfection Administrator I works with dealerships, the Department of Motor Vehicles, title agencies, and external and internal customers to obtain and verify information on outstanding liens. This position receives, examines, and ensures title/lien documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with state and company guidelines.

Job Duties:

  • Follow up on and reconcile lien documentation through extensive phone and written communication with auto dealerships, state agencies, and internal/external customers.
  • Identify and resolve title issues, escalating as needed, to mitigate potential losses
  • Contact external and internal customers to obtain missing or inaccurate information
  • Receive mail, internal documents and/or external documents; examine documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformity to specified requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge of DMV regulations regarding vehicle titles for each state in which vehicles are processed
  • Complete title applications, check requests, and prepare overnight shipments for lost/duplicate titles
  • Utilize various software systems to obtain, validate, and enter document information
  • Responds to a variety of internal and external customer inquiries in a timely and thorough manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 -2 years auto finance experience preferred
  • Auto title experience preferred
  • Phone customer service skills preferred
  • Typing and ten key skills
  • Ability to use MS Office products, proprietary software and general office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships; ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize workload
  • Must possess sound judgment in gauging the severity of identified problems
  • Ability to handle high volume of paperwork
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
