Responsible for monitoring, inspecting and proposing measures to correct or improve an organization’s final products in order to meet established quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in Purchase Order review meetings to review and release incoming Shapes customer orders with input from the contract review team, which shall include the Shapes manager, and other Shapes technicians, as required.
  • Review customer specifications to ensure that compliance is possible prior to accepting and releasing a customer order per that specification.
  • Evaluate product produced per customer orders for compliance to the required specifications and issue certificates of conformity to denote compliance.
  • Responsible for the creation of inspection test plans and first article inspection reports as required for the release of customer product for delivery.
  • Recommend process adjustments based on quality control data, visual inspection, and experience.
  • Assist or support in the maintenance of a documentation system in conformance to AS9100 quality control standard for production and laboratory equipment and tools calibration. Implement the maintenance, calibration and minor repair of lab equipment and introduction of new analytical instruments.
  • Assist or support in the specification of and writing of operating procedures for quality-related tasks that are specialized for the aerospace industry.
  • Assist or support in internal, customer and international quality audits in support of AS9100, ISO14001, and RC14001.
  • Help to resolve customer complaints by investigating the root cause and issuing corrective action.
  • Provide all Quality related documentation for customer Source Inspectors that visit onsite.
  • Assist in the management of sub-tier suppliers, ensuring that requirements are met.
  • Conduct mechanical and physical testing under international standards (e.g. ASTM), analyze, document and archive test/inspection results of raw, in process, and finished materials to ensure conformance to internal and customer-provided specifications.
  • Physically and electronically (SAP) release raw, intermediate, and finished goods.
  • Help to manage and train of other technicians working in the quality process.
  • Help to development, improve, and ensure training compliance to control procedures for all process tasks performed throughout the Performance Foams production process.
  • Carry out a range of quality management activities under the guidance of senior colleagues to contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the Quality Management System and to support the design, development, and documentation of new policies, procedures, and business processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma is required. Assocciates degree or higher is preffered.
  • 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
  • AS 9100 Internal Aufitor trainng to be completed within 1 year of hire.
