Position Summary: 

Accountable for the results of a small team of strategy analysts. Manages daily activities, projects/tasks of the team. Recommends changes to team policies to business unit leaders and key stakeholders. Identifies and resolves day-to-day technical and operational challenges. Primary point of responsibility, accountability, and activity for core operations account placement through the legal stream. Investigates and presents strategy changes, impact analysis, and testing results to peers and leadership. Interprets data to identify trends, conduct root cause analysis of problems, or suggest areas for process improvement. Makes recommendations and improves system processes by workflow analysis.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience as an Analyst with strong technical skills such as advanced SQL and creating SQL queries and joins.
  • Also require Microsoft Excel or other statistical packages to analyze financial and legal operational data.
  • Comfortable interacting with Senior leadership and presenting in PowerPoint
  • Able to read and interpret reported data to provide recommendations to leadership
  • Some experience leading a team of analysts is preferred
  • Conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Finding best fit solutions to help tell a compelling narrative of the data that aligns to the intended audience.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and negotiate with other departments in solving problems.
  • Leadership skills in project management coordination and prioritization.
  • Ability to solve complex, ambiguous business problems.
  • Strong mentorship capabilities for analytical skill development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative field, or a demonstrable equivalent combination of formal

    Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

    • Manage a team of analysts centered on overseeing and supporting the day-to-day business tasks for the purpose of managing and accessing the segmentation criteria for legal placements
    • Responsible for the deployment of strategies in a particular area of the business as a subject matter expert (SME).
    • Provide creative solutions for improving processes or concepts and capable of building out testing scenarios for deployment.
    • Investigate and identify inventory gaps and areas for better optimization to inform legal, operations, fulfillment, or model/segmentation.
    • Mentor junior analysts for the purpose of analyst development in skills, PRA knowledge, and subject matter expertise.
    • Maintain current policy and procedure documentation along with change logs and approvals for any updates being made.
    • Enhance the monitoring and control mechanisms to legal owned processes to ensure the Company maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
    • Identify issues and process improvement opportunities and work with other areas of the business to analyze, report, and resolve discrepancies (including taking ownership of actions/projects where appropriate)

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Manage direct reports
    • Responsible for the overall direction, development, coordination, and evaluation of employees in accordance with policies and applicable laws
    • Interview, train, and appraise employees, plans, assign, and direct work and addresses and resolves issues.

     

    Salary Range:

    $87,500.00 - $134,100.00

    PRA Group has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, specific working location and market position. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and PRA Group reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications and location of the selected candidate.  In addition to base salary, PRA may offer additional benefits to include performance based bonus programs and/or equity programs depending on the position.  PRA offers paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, and other benefits to assist with the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees.
