About the Role
NOBZO is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel / Lawyer II to provide strategic legal support across corporate, commercial, regulatory, contractual, employment, data protection, and compliance matters.
The role will lead the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, support corporate governance and compliance frameworks, advise Management on legal and regulatory risks, coordinate with external counsel, and provide strategic legal guidance on business expansion, partnerships, and corporate operations.
Requirements
- LL.B and B.L, with qualification as a Nigerian legal practitioner.
- 3–6 years of post-call professional experience.
- Experience in corporate and commercial law, with exposure to fintech or financial services being an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian corporate, labour, and data protection law
- Familiarity with applicable data protection requirements, including the NDPR/NDPA.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Experience providing legal advice on corporate and operational matters.
- Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written legal communication.
- High professional integrity and strict confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic reasoning abilities.
