JOB DESCRIPTION – LEGAL MANAGER
Role Purpose
Provide legal advisory services and manage legal risks to ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
Provide legal guidance to management on corporate and commercial matters.
Support strategic business decisions with legal advice.
Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal agreements.
Ensure contractual compliance across business units.
Regulatory Compliance
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Advise management on legal implications of regulatory changes.
Litigation Management
Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel.
Represent the company in legal proceedings where required.
Corporate Governance
Support compliance with corporate governance frameworks.
Maintain statutory records and legal documentation.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
Master of Laws (LLM) or MBA (mandatory).
Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and member of the Law Society of Kenya.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in legal practice, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
At least 3 years in a managerial or senior legal advisory role.

Corporate governance and regulatory knowledge.
Risk assessment capability.
Strong analytical and advisory skills.
High professional integrity.
