Legal Intern

Position Summary

We are seeking a legal intern to join our Capital Markets practice in Beijing. The ideal candidate is a law student with strong academic credentials and an aptitude for navigating the complex, fast-evolving regulatory landscape. You should be pragmatic, a quick learner, and able to support our lawyers on cross-border transactions.

As a legal intern in our capital markets team in Beijing, you will be working in an exciting environment, handling challenging, time-sensitive matters that demand a dynamic approach and resilience of character.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Assisting with due diligence by reviewing corporate documents, financial statements, and compliance records

• Supporting the drafting and proofreading of prospectuses and other disclosure documents

• Conducting legal research on listing rules, securities regulations, and relevant case law

• Coordinating with clients, auditors, and other professional parties to gather required information

• Preparing checklists and tracking progress of IPO-related tasks

• Translating and proofreading documents and correspondence

• Handle ad hoc assignments

Qualifications

• Law Student (LLB or LLM) from a top China law school, exchange in an English-speaking jurisdiction preferred

• Native Mandarin and fluent English are essential, with strong English reading and writing skills

• Hardworking with attention to detail

• Computer literacy 

• Good communication skills

• Client service focus

• Team player
