Your mission:
Reporting to the Commercial Legal Counsel, as a Legal Assistant Intern, you will help with the daily review of agreements, including but not limited to NDAs and MTAs and will assist the Legal team with the review of other commercial agreements, and agreements related to Business Development and BioPharma opportunities. You will also help with the implementation of internal Legal AI tools.
You will be involved in:
- Assist in building the database and playbooks for an internal Legal AI tool
- Supervised review and prep of contracts/amendments including contract extensions, confidentiality agreements, and commercial agreements
- Support legal operations and contract management systems
- Ad hoc legal research, including surveying differences between US State laws and international laws
What you will learn:
- This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a groupwide initiative, across teams and geographies and acquire project management skills, which is very rare in the legal space. This is also an opportunity to learn more about the key issues in a fast-paced software business in the healthcare industry, in a truly international environment.
Requirements
- A JD candidate (currently enrolled in law school)
- Good knowledge of commercial law
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Pragmatic individual
- Dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented personality with a natural curiosity for learning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a dynamic, evolving environment
- Fluency in English
