Key Responsibilities
As a Lean Intern, you will:
• Conduct Time Studies: Observe and record cycle times for various operations to establish baseline data.
Document Standard Work: Create and maintain Standard Work Charts and Standard Work Combination Tables for multiple production lines.
• Support Kaizen Events: Actively participate in at least one kaizen team, contributing to problem-solving and improvement initiatives.
• Identify and Implement Improvements: Analyze assigned areas for waste and inefficiencies, propose solutions, and assist in implementation.
• Lead and Support Problem Solving: Facilitate and contribute to structured problem-solving efforts using Problem Solving Process (PSP) and A3 methodologies, ensuring root causes are identified and countermeasures are effectively implemented.
• Visual Management: Develop and update visual controls and performance boards to support daily management systems.
• Engage with Operators: Collaborate with frontline team members to validate standard work and ensure sustainability of improvements.
• Support 5S Initiatives: Assist in organizing workspaces and maintaining cleanliness and order through 5S audits and
improvements.
