Lead design, build, deploy, and maintain modular cloud-based systems and automated CI/CD pipelines. Support implementation teams, resolve infrastructure incidents, harden environments, ensure high availability, mentor team members, and recommend/process improvements while working with clients and engineering to align solutions with security and operational best practices.

Our current technical environment:

  • Primary Skills/Tools: GIT, GitHub, Jenkins, Shell Scripting, Python scripting, GitHub Actions, Bash Scripting and Azure, build images using docker and CD for Kubernetes using Argo CD & Helm charts
  • Secondary Skills: Configuration management tools such as terraform, Event based frameworks like Confluent Kafka, Kibana Dashboards and alerts.

What you’ll do:

  • Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborating with our engineering teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Review and act on the Service requests, Infrastructure requests and Incidents logged by our Implementation teams and clients. Identifying, analysing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Modifying and improving existing systems. Suggest process improvements and implement them.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives particularly Azure
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs. 

What we are looking for:

  • 8-12 years of Exp with product and cloud architects to design automated pipelines to support SaaS delivery and operations in Azure and GCP cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience and/or significant familiarity with Cloud and automation tools/technologies such as (all not required): Microsoft, Google, Amazon CI/CD tool suites; IaaS, PaaS, SaaS tool suites; other tools such as Terraform, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitHub/BitBucket, Artifactory, Maven, Docker & Kubernetes, etc
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience with collaboration tools (any 2) JIRA, Confluence, visualization tools (Lucid Charts, Visio), Office Suite and SharePoint. 
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident management, Request fulfilment, Change management, RCAs)
  • Experience in shell scripting (Unix, python)
  • Proficiency in JIRA, or similar Agile lifecycle tools; solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience in using Agile Project Management tools 
  • Work with company personnel to define technical problems and requirements, determine solutions, and implement those solutions.
  • Provide technical feedback to engineering regarding product changes and enhancements.
  • Deploy and automate deployment as well as monitor the client solution; make sure the client environments are up 99.9999% of the time and meet the response time SLAs.
  • Plan upgrades and executes towards the goal of moving all the clients to the latest version of the software.
  • Make sure the deployments are secure and work with security team to harden the environments and fix any security vulnerabilities.
  • Inspires the team to become better at their craft and trains the team both technically and functionally.
  • Looks beyond the surface and fix the root causes rather than symptoms. 
  • Identifies skill gaps, and actively helps in training the new members of the team on the open-source technology stack
  • Actively identifies and reduces complexity in deployments and motivates team members to do the same. 
  • Provide technical feedback to engineering regarding product changes and enhancements.
  • Create tests, tools, and diagnostic procedures for use by product support personnel.
  • Considers operational costs even in early design stages and incorporates it as a factor into the decision-making process

Skills Required

  • 8-12 years experience designing automated pipelines and supporting SaaS delivery and operations in Azure and GCP
  • Hands-on experience with IaC and automation tools such as Terraform, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitHub/BitBucket
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm/Helm charts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD tool suites (Microsoft/Azure, Google/GCP, Amazon/AWS) and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
  • Proven shell scripting and automation experience (Bash, Unix shell, Python scripting)
  • Experience with build and artifact tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven) and Git-based workflows (Git, GitHub)
  • Experience with monitoring/logging/streaming tools such as Confluent Kafka and Kibana and incident management
  • Proficiency with collaboration and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence) and familiarity with visualization tools (Lucidchart, Visio)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (incident management, request fulfillment, change management, RCA)
  • Experience leading, mentoring, training teams, and driving operational excellence and deployment automation to meet SLA/uptime targets
