Job Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer in Prime Finance Services, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing distributed applications that support our global operations. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. Your hands-on approach and technical expertise will help drive performance and operational excellence within the team. You’ll contribute to system design, code quality, and knowledge sharing, ensuring our services meet the highest standards. This role empowers you to make impactful decisions and continually improve our technology landscape.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver distributed applications and supporting services
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Java and Python
  • Build scalable solutions on AWS, leveraging cloud-native services
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
  • Build and enhance real-time streaming and messaging solutions with Kafka
  • Contribute to system design, performance tuning, and resiliency
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident learnings
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver value

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proficiency in Java and Python
  • Experience designing and building distributed applications
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and architecture
  • Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative working style
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka for distributed messaging and streaming

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
  • Experience building data pipelines using Apache Spark
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience using agentic ADLC pipelines for feature development, including Claude code, Copilot building skills, and developing custom agents
  • Prior experience in financial services or large-scale enterprise environments
