Position Summary:
Avathon’s Industrial AI Suite is the world's leading AI enabled SaaS platform that provides asset performance management and prescriptive analytics software to ever growing renewable and Oil & gas energy power plants, Aviation, Manufacturing, Mining and Retail by combining the power of machine learning, big data, and deep domain expertise. Our platform works across multiple capital intensive industrial asset types to offer insights to our customers. As a Lead Software Engineer you will be working closely with team members across domains with deep technical skills.
Join us in:
- Bringing large volumes of data from wind, solar, storage sites to cloud
- Building robust ETL pipelines and automating data workflows
- Work on engineering projects to design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems
- Lead a team of talented Data Engineers and mentor the team as part of people responsibility
You’ll have:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python, including at least 2 years using Pandas for data processing and analysis
- At least 2 years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a team of software engineers
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts such as VPNs, firewalls, and secure remote access
- Proficiency in PowerShell or shell scripting for automation and administrative tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system, network, and data-related issues
It would be great if you had:
- Experience in renewable energy or IoT time series data
- Exposure to industrial data platforms like Ignition, Kepware, or OSIsoft/AVEVA PI
- Extensive experience with cloud-native tools, particularly AWS or GCP
