Position details:
You will be involved in the full systems life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting application software and systems that are delivered on time and within budget. They work closely with Architects to define the physical design, and with Analysts and Product Managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions. Software Engineers may be assigned to either development or support functions.
You are responsible for creating and implementing the physical design which includes building, testing, and deploying code; configuring systems; resolving defects; confirming compliance with security, performance, and related standards; providing level 2 and 3 technical supports; and delivering recommendations to improve systems.
You will:

  • Architect and facilitate rollout of innovative solutions, modules, integrations, etc.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance business needs. Also ensures continuous process improvements.
  • Develops applications from business requirements and/or technical design documents.
  • Participates in long- and short-range technology planning.
  • Develops effective relationships with stakeholders and other IT team members to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of technology solutions.
  • Works directly with Strategic Portfolio Managers to understand application objectives, develop scope of project, outline effort projections, determine schedules, and finalize plans.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, training, and support to colleagues and business stakeholders
  • Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing etc.)
  • Support, edit, and create integrations to other products and services including the use of Integration Hub and orchestration, APIs , and related transform maps.
  • Design, develop and maintain customize ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts, workflows, and orchestration activities.
  • Develop, manage, and test application code, user interface and third-party integration components using prescribed application development guidelines.
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications, coordinates application and platform upgrades.
  • Experience in maintaining and enhancing a highly customized ServiceNow instance implemented prior to Jakarta
  • Quality driven individual, driving change by finding creative solutions and challenging requirements which would create technical debt.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities, providing coaching and guidance to other team members, and being able to explain technical information clearly all audiences.
  • Manage multiple and often conflicting tasks through effective prioritization using strong analytical, design, estimating, and problem-solving skills


You have:

  • 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development, administration, and implementation experience focused on NOW platform, ITSM, ITBM (CMDB, CSDM, ITIL, ATF, Integration Hub ETL, RTE, Flow Designer, and ITIL and ITSM and ITBM (SPM/PPM)
  • 6+ years of experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., PHP, Python, C++, or Java)
  • 4+ years of experience implementing Web Service integration solutions (e.g., REST, SOAP, Node JS, Event Publication and Correlation Strategies, Microservices)
  • 4+ years of experience with integrations; ServiceNow Store, REST API, SOAP API, LDAP, SSO, JDBC, ODBC, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with web-based development languages (JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, SCSS, HTTP/HTTPS, AJAX, JSON, XML)
  • Experience with orchestration, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
  • ServiceNow Certified System Admin and Certified Application Developer certification preferred
  • ServiceNow reporting, dashboarding and Performance Analytics preferred
  • ITIL Certification a plus
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementer certification(s) a plus
  • Expert in PowerShell, Python a plus
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular, React a plus
