Role Value Proposition:
MetLife is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Architect to join our ServiceNow Platform team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet the needs of our business. This role requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow architecture, as well as the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure the platform's optimal performance and scalability. Additionally, the Lead Architect will lead the creation, analysis, and review of assigned architecture, ensuring that discrete architecture solutions fit into and support the larger capabilities and direction of the overall product or domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect ServiceNow solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and others.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the ServiceNow platform.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features and updates and recommend improvements to the platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, design, and implementation processes.
- Lead and create architectural specifications for end-to-end (E2E) solutions, including system components, services, technologies, and design required to implement a solution.
- Plan and develop current and/or target state reference architecture artifacts, including Principles, Rules & Guidelines, Conceptual and Logical Domain Architectures, and Domain Roadmaps.
- Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution demos, and inspect & adapt events.
- Lead the identification of risks for the product or domain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Participate in planning and support product or domain-related governance efforts.
- Identify technical approaches and new or enhanced technical tools, methodologies, and solutions for the product or domain.
- Identify current and future trends, technology, and information that will positively affect the product or domain and apply and integrate emerging technological trends to new and existing architecture.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture data structures and best practices.
- Understanding of ServiceNow's data model and how to design and manage data structures within the platform.
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data management principles.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, and others.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with collaboration tools and a deep understanding of product/business/industry knowledge.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with integration tools and techniques, such as REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms and services.
