The Role:
MetLife is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer with extensive Microsoft Power Platform expertise to join our Corporate Systems Digital Innovation Solutions team. In this role, you will act as the Lead Developer in MetLife's Power Platform Custom Apps Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions built on Power Platform. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving and communications skills, and the ability to lead a team of developers. The Power Platform Lead Developer will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, such as functional analysts and business owners, to analyze requirements.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the platform's architecture.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Create technical documentation, including architecture, design specs, and deployment plans.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed. Establish and update Development Best Practices documentation as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power Platform solutions developed in-house.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development team.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced developers.
  • Conduct workshops for end-users and development teams.


Required Skills/Knowledge :

  • Extensive Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture and design principles.
  • Proven experience in projects requiring the integration of multiple technology systems, operations, or processes.
  • Proven experience leading a team of developers, handling development projects from planning through execution to delivery, while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and translate their requirements into technical terms.


Preferred Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing Power Platform products.
  • Experience working across various functions, including architecture, development, engineering, and compliance.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements for Power Platform solutions.
  • Ability to create technical documentation and conduct training sessions.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for continuous learning and embracing challenges.
  • Familiarity with modern AI concepts, automation, and robotics.


The salary range for applicants for this position is 135,000-180,000.
