Sabre is seeking an experienced Lead Product Owner to drive the strategy and delivery of our Booking Management API portfolio, with a strong focus on multi-source orchestration.
You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from vision and roadmap to execution and growth—ensuring APIs deliver business value, adoption, and revenue outcomes. You will evolve existing offerings, identify new opportunities, and position Sabre as a leader in booking management.
This role requires a strong blend of business and technical expertise, translating market insights and customer needs into clear priorities and scalable API solutions in close partnership with engineering and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the Booking Management API portfolio, including multi-source orchestration
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business and technology goals
Drive profitability and growth of existing API offerings while incubating new solutions
Translate customer needs, market trends, and data insights into a prioritized product backlog and user stories
Act as product SME across scrum teams and support cross-functional stakeholders
Engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to gather insights and drive adoption
Support delivery through backlog management, demos, and issue triage
Qualifications and Skills:
4+ years in market-facing product roles (e.g., engaging customers, prospects, partners)
Strong blend of business and technical acumen, with solid product management fundamentals
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into technology-driven solutions
Ownership mindset with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Proven ability to operate independently, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities effectively
Skilled at navigating multi-stakeholder environments with competing goals
Strong communication and presentation skills
Industry and Domain Expertise
Experience in airline, travel agency, or travel technology environments preferred
Understanding of travel distribution (e.g., NDC, ATPCO, LCC/full-service models)
Familiarity with Sabre APIs is a strong plus
Knowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing (e.g., dynamic offers, AI/ML)
Technical & Ways of Working
Comfortable engaging with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, and architecture
Experience with modern software development tools and practices (e.g., OpenAPI, Postman, VS Code)
Ability to clearly define and evolve product features and backlog
Proactive in using AI tools (e.g., copilots, automation, data assistants) to improve productivity, decision-making, and delivery efficiency
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
