The AI layer for the dental industry has not been built yet. The product is proven, but the roadmap is wide open. North America market expansion is underway. The Manila team is being elevated from execution to product, and this is the ground floor of that transition.

The person who joins now as Network Engineer doesn't inherit a finished system. EviSmart's network infrastructure is scaling to match a global AI-driven platform and the architecture that carries it through the next stage of growth needs to be designed now, from first principles, not retrofitted later. The engineer who defines it owns it.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• Network architecture and reliability across a 28-country live production environment — you design, implement, and optimize the infrastructure that supports global CAD operations, AI pipelines, and customer workflows. Always-on is the baseline, not the aspiration.
• Real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and early-warning systems — you build and own the systems that surface network health before issues reach production. Recurring problems get structural fixes. Manual escalations get automated away.
• Security boundaries and hardening — firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and least-privilege enforcement across all network touchpoints. You partner with Security Engineering on threat detection and incident response readiness.
• Infrastructure scaling and performance optimization— bandwidth planning, load balancing, redundancy, latency, and throughput benchmarks. You identify bottlenecks before they impact operations, not after.
• Cross-functional network requirements — you work directly with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Solutions to translate their needs into network design. Teams focus on delivering value; you make sure infrastructure never blocks them.
• You are the first to know when network health is degrading — incident response in under 10 minutes, 99.9%+ uptime, and a recurring issue rate trending toward zero. When a signal appears, you act on it before it becomes an outage.

We share work before it's ready. We debate decisions loudly and execute them quietly. We default to fixing problems instead of escalating them. Manila is the delivery engine for a global platform — the standard is high and the pace is real.

A problem that sits for 48 hours is a retention problem. An ambiguous requirement is a build problem. We fix things before they escalate, and we expect everyone here to do the same.

A NOTE ON WHAT WE’RE NOT

This is not a break-fix role, and "keep it running" is not the standard. If your career has been defined by reactive troubleshooting — opening tickets, applying patches, escalating to vendors — this will feel like a different job entirely. EviSmart's network carries live AI pipelines and customer-facing dental workflows across 28 countries. The standard is proactive, architectural, and first-principles: you anticipate failure modes, design against them, and build systems that get more stable as they scale. Engineers who thrive here are the ones who treat infrastructure as a living system they are continuously improving — not a utility they are keeping online.

This is not a cost-center role and Manila is not a support function. Our Manila team leads engineering and operations — the product ships from here. If you've seen 'Philippines office' mean something smaller at other companies, that is not what this is.

On AI: EviSmart's AI is not a marketing claim. We have in-house model research and development teams, and the tools we use daily — Claude, Cursor, Luvable, LLM-powered workflows — are part of the actual stack, not a slide in a deck. The next 12 months will see expanded AI pipeline infrastructure supporting dental design automation at increased scale across new markets — and the network that carries it needs to be built now, ahead of that growth.

WHAT WE NEED

• 3–6 years in network engineering in a production environment — where you personally owned network reliability outcomes, not just executed configurations someone else designed
• Hands-on design and implementation experience— routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, load balancing, and firewall configuration across enterprise-grade hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent)
• A pattern you turned into a permanent fix— you identified a recurring network issue, traced it to its structural root cause, and eliminated it. You can walk us through the before and after in the interview.
• First-principles infrastructure thinking — you benchmark before you optimize, design for failure before it happens, and document decisions well enough that the system can be maintained by someone who wasn't in the room
• Communication that is clear, fast, and written — we are distributed and async writing is a core skill, not a soft one
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent) and familiarity with on-prem, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a strong advantage
