Role Value Proposition:
The Group Life Application Development team is in Cary, NC, and Greenville, SC. The Lead Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for performing the technical lead role on a variety of application development projects across Life Art.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the creation of architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
- Works towards enabling self-service capabilities for business partners, leading the collection and documentation of user requirements as well as lead the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions for large complex features in collaboration with the Product Owner.
- Leading the detailed technical design and development of applications/platforms.
- Responsible for development using multiple technology stack capabilities (Front/Back End, API, Database Mgmt, Hosting technologies, etc.), and definition of the testing stack.
- Leads peer reviews of solution designs and related code for complex features. Ensures code meets best practice guidelines set by application/platform vendor.
- Investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- 7+ Years of application development experience - especially mainframe
- Extensive knowledge of Mainframe technologies - CICS, Batch, JCL, DB2, VSAM, COBOL
- Experience in Agile Practices.
- DevSecOps experience.
- Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Ingenium and or Vantage Platforms.
- Experience in working within Financial Services, Insurance and/or Banking institutions.
