Primary Responsibility:
- Work directly with key stakeholders to assist in driving business decisions.
- Analyze monthly financial results, including KPI’s, and identify/explain trends, preparing related summaries/management reports for business leaders and other key stakeholders.
- Assist in building monthly reporting packages, decks and communication of results.
- Develop and automate models to transform data into meaningful, clear, concise reporting/action plans.
- Assist in developing Budget/Plan and Forecast using various models, industry data, and insights from business leaders.
- Develop end-to-end product knowledge to support business decision making.
- Help run projects and be able to mentor Junior/Senior Analysts on the team.
- Collaborate with Technology and Data & Analytics business partners to build and implement AI-centric reporting, modeling, and business insight solutions.
- Support business opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and their teams, creating proformas, and other ad-hoc analysis.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with key stakeholders and other cross-functional groups (Ops, Accounting, Technology, Data & Analytics, etc.)
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations (Baldwin Group Azimuth) and influencing others to reward performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Licenses: CPA or CFA preferred but not required. Insurance licenses such as CPCU, Affiliated, P&C licensing, etc. a plus.
- Experience with Workday suite of products and Adaptive Insights a plus.
- Experience with process automation and utilization of Anthropic AI tools a plus
Skills:
- Analyze information and use logic/rationale that connects concepts.
- Ability to build a story around your findings and relay results to leaders.
- Willingness to lead projects and align colleagues to achieve goals.
- Utilize effective research and investigative techniques.
- Basic understanding of GAAP (accruals, revenue recognition, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Experience with AI tools and process automation is preferable.
- Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
Work Environment:
- Travel Frequency – Up to 10%.
- Strong preference for candidate to reside in Tampa, FL or Boston, MA with a hybrid office schedule of 2-3 days a week.
- Open to remote for strong candidates.
Starting Compensation: $100,000 + annually
