Job Role
Wolters Kluwer requires Enterprise Architects to have a technical depth and breadth across multiple technical domains. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable IT systems architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, DevSecOps, automation, and architectural principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end IT systems architecture that meets business objectives, scalability requirements, and security standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Evaluate existing IT systems and propose enhancements or redesigns to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead the implementation and deployment of IT systems, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for technology selections including tools, software, and cloud services.
- Develop architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical guidelines, to facilitate system operations and maintenance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT architecture, and integrate relevant innovations into the company's systems.
- Actively pursue continuous education opportunities and demonstrate knowledge with IT certifications.
- Collaborate with IT teams, including developers, engineers, and operations staff, to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Communicate progress of various initiatives to project stakeholders and management.
Job Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Preferred Architecture Certification: TOGAF, ARCHIMATE, ZACHMAN, etc.
Experience:
- More than 12 years IT Experience
- More than 5 year's experience within an Architecture Role
- At least 2 years leadership experience
- Recent experience within Architecture, Design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and proficiency in designing cloud-native solutions.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, including modularity, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Developing complex business cases
- Proficiency in architectural modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Visio) and familiarity with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- AWS Certified Architect
- Azure Certified Architect
Soft Skills Required:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills: financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource management
