Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Development strategies for the assigned SBU by designing, implementing, and continuously improving supplier quality processes to ensure compliance with GE HealthCare Quality, regulatory requirements, and overall process excellence.
Execute QMS and compliance requirements related to Purchasing Controls, including planning and performing supplier audits and supporting internal and external audit activities.
Own and drive supplier qualifications, supplier corrective action plans, supplier audits, and performance monitoring of key suppliers, ensuring progress toward industry‑standard excellence.
Collaborate with Engineering, Category & Product Sourcing, and regional Supplier Quality & Development teams to identify and develop parts and suppliers, supporting NPIs and supplier transfers.
Partner with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams to reduce Cost of Quality, addressing factory defects, field failures, and FOA/FOI issues.
Support digitization and simplification of Purchasing Controls processes in partnership with Global Process and Compliance teams.
Deliver key supplier quality metrics including DPPM, SCARs, SCRs, and ensure launch quality for NPIs and transfers.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and coordinate with Sourcing and Suppliers to address quality issues impacting fulfilment, driving timely corrective actions to prevent business disruptions.
Apply strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and cross‑functional insights to solve problems and make informed decisions.
Define and deploy supplier quality assurance policies; manage qualification requirements, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and the part qualification process.
Develop deep expertise in the discipline, leveraging prior experience to execute functional strategies and policies.
Operate primarily as an individual contributor, demonstrating effective communication, providing informal guidance to new team members, and simplifying complex information for stakeholders.
Contribute to and influence projects and processes within the function, working with autonomy while adhering to standard practices and seeking senior guidance when required.
Utilize technical judgment and problem‑solving capabilities, drawing on multiple internal resources when necessary to drive decisions and improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical OR Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience) in Sourcing & Supplier Quality Development domain.
Experience in at least one Electronics Manufacturing domain such as EMSi manufacturing, display manufacturing, electronic assemblies, or battery manufacturing technologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
Demonstrated leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to understand and influence factors impacting GE HealthCare businesses, SBUs, engineering teams, and supplier partners.
Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities, with the ability to lead, influence, and drive change across functions and global teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and drive continuous improvement across functional and geographic boundaries.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
Desired Characteristics
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent quality certification.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and deep understanding of site‑level products and processes. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and drive effective resolution.
Proven ability to document, plan, promote, and execute programs, supported by strong project management skills.
Demonstrated expertise in communicating across all organizational levels on topics such as design controls, design verification/validation, production and process controls, CAPA, complaints and risk management, and product quality improvement using tools such as Six Sigma, DFR, etc.
Ability to lead, influence, communicate, and implement strategies that ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Strong collaboration, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Excellent communication capabilities, including oral communication, report writing, business correspondence, and procedure documentation.
