Team Overview
Overview of the RoleThis role is for a Lead Developer, Application Dev & Design that will operate as a member on one of the core teams of specialists that are responsible for enabling new features and optimizing strategic solutions within TransUnion’s Global Online Solutions Engineering teams.
As a contributing member on one of our agile development teams, you will have both the accountability and freedom to design and build highly scalable systems that are taking TransUnion to the next level. Success in this role requires a blend of skills in Cloud - GCP/AWS, Microsoft .NET Technologies, C#, PostgreSQL, VueJS, Typescript and Microservices Architectures.
What You’ll Bring
• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related discipline, or an equivalent educational and work experience, with typically up to 10+ years of full stack software development experience in Microsoft .NET environment.
• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft tools and technologies, including .NET web and application development using .NET Core, C#, Web API, Angular/VueJS, TypeScript, SpecFlow, IIS, RDBMS, and Harness
• Knowledge of Architectural Patterns.
• GCP/AWS cloud developer or associate architect certification is required
• GCP experience (GKE, Filestore, MSK, GCS, CloudSQL) is preferred
• Experience in third party cloud services such as Kong, Counsel, Ping identity, Hashicorp Vault, Splunk are preferred
• Experience with containerization, preferably Docker and Experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes are preferred
• Experience with Agile/Scrum Development
• Experience in financial industry is preferred.
• Experience in No SQL and cloud services are preferred.
• Must be self-directed and proactive; think beyond immediate problem.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Impact You'll Make:
• Works closely with agile team members to design, develop, implement, test, document and support cloud-native micro services
• Participate in PI planning and spring backlog refinement sessions, contribute to build and maintain .NET core and VueJS based cloud native micro services and micro front-ends
• Development responsibilities include doing peer reviews, automation, demo working software to stakeholders, providing training to regional teams and support
• Demonstrates flexibility in dealing with change and adversity
• Develop services that adhere industry/company security best practices
• Serve as technical SME on designing and developing well architected software services for Cloud, primarily AWS.
• Mentor and assists associate developers, provide architectural support
